Our story
SatiVite is a new face on the medicinal cannabis scene. The brand took root in 2021 as the brainchild of three medicinal cannabis pioneers – hailing from the corporate, medical, and agricultural sides of the industry. The original trio, two of them patients themselves, had the drive to get going and the experience to go the distance.
Our patient-led approach gives us a unique perspective on medicine. We want our patients to feel in charge of their own treatment, because we’ve seen how a sense of autonomy can strengthen a patient’s mentality. Our founder, Mike Cleary, discovered this first-hand after he fractured 168 of his bones in a motorcycle accident in 2012. Needless to say, he was in pain.
A lot of it.
After several procedures and a long stay in the hospital, Mike was put on a host of pharmaceutical medications: some painkillers, some anti-inflammatories, and some to counteract the side effects of the others. They helped his pain for a while, but being on a surplus of prescription drugs made Mike feel like (in his words) a human pin-cushion...
When he tried medicinal cannabis for his chronic condition, Mike felt a change. He was lucky to be a strong responder to the medication, and he discovered that it gave him room to manage his treatment as he saw fit (with input from his doctor, of course). As a patient, he found that hugely empowering – so much so that ‘patients treating patients’ has become our unofficial tagline.
The only difference is we’re patients who know what we’re talking about. Today, SatiVite is a medicinal cannabis company with clear priorities: high-quality products, personalised support, and patient-led product development.
Our leadership team has grown since 2021, with each team member bringing a fresh perspective. We can’t claim to be Australia’s largest medicinal cannabis supplier, but we’ve never been interested in growth for its own sake. We need SatiVite to be profitable insofar as it helps us stick around – delivering premium medicinal cannabis products for as long as we can.
Put simply, we’re here for a good time and a longtime. We want a slow, steady burn, not a big flame that burns out bright.

Meet Our Team
Get to know the experts behind SatiVite.
Mike Cleary has spent years developing the SatiVite brand. Our company is his creation, after all – he founded SatiVite in 2021 and has been instrumental in shaping its values and goals ever since.
Mike’s background is in sustainable farming and banking. His agribusiness expertise gave him the foundational knowledge he needed to get SatiVite up and running. His interest in sustainability carried over, influencing SatiVite’s long-term plan to devise a more sustainable way to produce cannabis. He’s driven our company’s move towards growing our own product using natural and regenerative practices.
Mike takes pride in offering SatiVite’s patients a treatment pathway they might not otherwise be able to access.
Outside work, he spends whatever downtime he can get with his young family, and follows motorsports with gusto.
Danny Minogue – not to be confused with a certain Australian pop star – leads our strategic charge.
As CEO, he puts his vast sales experience in the medicinal field to use. Danny holds a Bachelor of Medical Science. After graduating, he took his newfound knowledge into a sales rep role with biopharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca. He climbed the ranks to hospital sales manager, and eventually moved onto more senior roles elsewhere.
Danny worked for two medicinal cannabis companies before joining SatiVite. He still gets a thrill out of working in a constantly evolving industry.
Outside work, he loves to travel, surf and explore with his wife and four kids. Danny won the McDonald’s Fries Champion of the Year award in 1995. He’s pretty chuffed about it.
Gloria Monzie is an accomplished operational expert. She brings over a decade’s experience in operations management to the SatiVite team.
As SatiVite’s Operations Manager, Gloria manages our cultivation site and controls our distribution facilities (and that’s just the start). She keeps the logistical aspects of our business running smoothly – which is no mean feat in an emerging industry. Luckily for us and for our patients, Gloria takes pleasure in tackling complex administrative challenges.
Gloria started her role at SatiVite after a 10-year stint with an Australian food exports company. There, she established and developed the operational side of a business that – in the early days – didn’t know much about the admin involved in Australian food export. Today, she’s excited to put her skills to use for SatiVite.
Outside work, Gloria spends time reading, listening to podcasts, and catching up with her friends. She spends as much time as possible with her young daughter.
Daniel Timcke is our resident chemist and quality-control expert.Before joining forces with the SatiVite team, he spent over two decades in quality, product, process and commercial roles.
An AHPRA-registered pharmacist, he’s now in charge of keeping our company compliant and our product premium. But his interest in medicinal cannabis began well before SatiVite.
Daniel has a special interest in and appreciation for human chemical receptors. When Australia’s cannabis legislation changed in 2016, he saw an opportunity to combine that interest with cannabinoid medicines.
He now gets to work with a range of cannabis chemotypes, applying his chemistry craftsmanship to dozens of chemical profiles.
Outside work, Daniel is perfecting his skills as a pitmaster. So far, he has brisket and short-ribs
down pat.
Ben Boyle is an accounting whiz. His experience as a commercial accountant spans over two decades – with his work taking him anywhere from small start-ups to multi-million-dollar enterprises.
His interest in joining a fledgling industry like medicinal cannabis led him to us. Ben finds being at the forefront of the industry’s evolution exciting. For him, uncertainty and opportunity go hand in hand.
He’s attuned to the way medicinal cannabis treatment is evolving on a local and international scale, and is stoked to be helping an emerging market take shape. Ben is as engaged at home as he is at work.
He takes his two young daughters to their sporting and extracurricular commitments, and keeps up with his own. He plays basketball with other dads from his daughters’ school, and even plays guitar in an all-parents band.
